Kim Adams is a Detroit-area television meteorologist and media personality whose career has included television weather, radio, production, spokesperson work, and other media projects. Online sources publish different estimates of Kim Adams’ net worth, generally ranging from about $1 million to $5 million. Still, no authoritative financial disclosure has been identified that independently verifies a precise figure.
The most responsible approach is to treat published net-worth figures as estimates, not confirmed financial facts. Adams has built a long broadcasting career through positions at WXYZ-TV and WDIV-TV, while also developing experience in radio, production, commercial media, and public appearances. WDIV announced her departure on July 31, 2026.
Kim Adams Net Worth
No audited financial statement, financial filing, or other authoritative disclosure publicly confirms Kim Adams’s exact personal net worth.
Different online biography and celebrity-profile websites publish different estimates. Some report figures around $1 million, while others provide higher figures or broader ranges. Because these websites generally do not provide sufficient underlying financial documentation, readers cannot independently verify the published amounts.
A reported range of approximately $1 million to $5 million can therefore be presented only as an online estimate, not as a confirmed personal fortune.
Several factors can cause celebrity net-worth figures to vary. Private employment contracts, investments, retirement accounts, business revenue, property interests, and other financial information are not necessarily public. Without complete financial records, assigning a precise figure would create more certainty than the available evidence supports.

Television Meteorology
Television weather forecasting has been central to Adams’s career since the 1990s. Her broadcasting background includes work in Ohio and Detroit, followed by positions at WXYZ-TV and WDIV-TV.
Adams returned to WDIV in August 2022 after more than a decade away from regular television work. During her return, she worked with the station’s 4Warn Weather team and appeared across its television and digital platforms.
Reliable primary sources have not publicly disclosed her exact WDIV compensation. Online salary estimates should therefore not be presented as confirmed earnings.
Radio and Hosting
Adams has also worked in radio. Her professional history includes the Fearless Faith program, which has been associated with WMUZ in Detroit and other stations.
Radio represents another area of her professional experience, although no reliable public record establishes her exact earnings from the program.

Production and commercial media have also been part of Adams’s professional portfolio.
Her professional website identifies Kim Adams Productions and presents her as available for television and internet commercials, corporate-video reporting, film work, voice-over assignments, and other projects.
Her work in these areas demonstrates additional professional opportunities, but no verified public revenue figure for the production business has been identified.

Adams’s professional website also describes motivational speaking and other public-engagement opportunities. Her broadcasting and media experience has also provided another avenue for professional appearances.
Her specific speaking fees or annual income from appearances are not publicly documented.

She later earned a master’s degree in Radio, TV and Film from Wayne State University. Her additional studies included synoptic meteorology at Ohio State University and thermodynamics and dynamics through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Graduate School in Washington, D.C.

Career Journey
WJR Radio Internship
Adams began her broadcasting career with an internship at WJR Radio in Detroit, according to biographical information about her professional history.
The internship provided early exposure to the broadcasting industry before she moved into television.
WHIZ-TV and WBNS-TV
She held her first on-air television position at WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, Ohio. She later worked at WBNS-TV in Columbus before returning to Detroit to join WXYZ-TV.
These early positions established the television-weather experience that became the foundation of her later career.
WXYZ-TV and the 1997 Milestone
Adams joined WXYZ-TV in Detroit in 1997.
In a 2022 WDIV article, Adams described this period as the foundation for becoming the first female meteorologist in Detroit television history. Other biographical sources also attribute this milestone to her 1997 career at WXYZ-TV.
Because this is a notable historical claim, it is best presented with attribution rather than as an unsupported absolute statement.
First WDIV Period
Adams joined WDIV in 2002 and remained with the station until 2009.
During this period, she broadcast weather and did other media-related work. She later stepped away from regular television following the birth of her third child.
This period became an important transition in her career as she moved away from a regular television schedule while continuing other professional media activities.
Family-Focused Career Break
In a 2022 WDIV article, Adams explained that she left television after the birth of her third child because she wanted to be home with her children. She later had two more children.
Rather than ending her connection with media, she continued pursuing other professional opportunities during this period.
The career break helps explain the gap between her first and second WDIV tenures.
Production, Radio and Other Media Work
During her time away from regular television, Adams continued pursuing media-related opportunities.
Her professional activities included production, commercial and spokesperson work, radio, voice-over opportunities, and other media projects. Her professional website also documents Kim Adams Productions and lists several types of commercial and corporate media services.
Her radio work included the Fearless Faith program, adding another dimension to her broadcasting experience.
This broader portfolio is important when discussing her professional income because her career has not been limited to television weather.
Return to WDIV in 2022
Adams returned to WDIV in August 2022 as part of the station’s 4Warn Weather team.
The station announced her return after more than a decade away from regular television. She resumed evening weather broadcasting and contributed to the station’s television and digital operations.
Her return continued a professional relationship that began in 2002.
Departure From WDIV in 2026

Kim Adams Assets and Public Financial Information
Reliable public information does not provide a complete inventory of Adams’s personal assets.
Some online biography websites discuss homes, vehicles, lifestyle information, or other assets, but these claims are not necessarily supported by primary documentation. This article therefore does not assign specific values to property, investments, vehicles, or other personal assets without reliable evidence.
The absence of publicly documented asset values does not establish that Adams has limited assets. It simply means that her private financial information cannot responsibly be presented as fact.
Personal Life
Kim Adams was previously married to Jeffrey Daudert, and public sources identify them as the parents of five children.
Information published by WDIV in 2022 also discussed her five children while explaining her decision to step away from television and later return to broadcasting.
Do not include her former spouse’s income, assets, or business activities when discussing Adams’s individual finances. Likewise, do not present a combined household wealth figure as her personal net worth.
The New Day Foundation for Families has also described Adams as a single mother of five. Because personal-status descriptions can change over time, such descriptions should be understood in the context and date of the source reporting them.
